DENTAL PROCEDURES IN SOUTHEAST PORTLAND, OR

Cleanings

By scheduling regular dental cleanings—typically twice a year—you'll enjoy greater overall oral health. Cleanings usually consist of plaque and tartar removal, fluoride application, checks for cavities. Other services, like polishing your teeth, may also be provided so that you can enjoy a healthier, brighter smile.

Crowns

Crowns are often used to protect and cover severely damaged teeth, or they can be used as part of our cosmetic dentistry services to give you a whole new smile. In either case, porcelain crowns offer the most natural look so you can have a natural, beautiful smile.

Bonding

If you have cracked, chipped, or discolored teeth, bonding using a composite resin may be the perfect, affordable solution. During a bonding procedure, Dr. Lee will prepare your tooth surface for the resin. When it's ready, he will mold it to match the shape of the rest of your teeth before being hardened and polished. The entire procedure is typically completed in under an hour.

Root Canals

If you're suffering from a toothache or other dental pain, a root canal might be the solution. Root canals help treat infections and will, ultimately, preserve your tooth and improve your overall oral health.

Bridges

Dental bridges are used to maintain your smile and bite in situations where either your tooth is already missing or it needs to be pulled (extracted). A bridge is anchored to the teeth on either side of the missing tooth; these caps support a false tooth (or teeth) so that it looks like you have a full, complete smile.

Dentures

Complete dentures can give you back a beautiful smile after major tooth loss. They offer more than just improved aesthetics. Full dentures can also help restore your self-esteem, pronunciation, and enjoyment of food because your chewing abilities will be improved.

Partial Dentures

Unlike full dentures, partial dentures are used when you still have some healthy remaining teeth. They are used to fill in missing sections by attaching to your existing gum line using a combination of metal clasps and plastic that replicates the appearance of your gum tissue.

Extractions

Sometimes your teeth may need to be removed to improve the overall health of your mouth. Infected or severely decayed teeth, teeth that have been damaged by trauma or periodontal disease, and teeth that are too crowded all may be solved by an extraction. Though we try to keep as many of your natural, healthy teeth as possible, an extraction may be in your best interest.

Wisdom Teeth

At Sunrise Dental of Gresham, we can take care of your wisdom teeth needs. Whether they are improperly aligned, or they are impacted and need to be extracted, we can take care of you.

Periodontal Deep Cleanings

Sometimes called root planning, periodontal deep cleaning treats more severe gum disease by smoothing the surface of the tooth below the gum line so that it is more difficult for bacteria and plaque to accumulate. During root planning, a special tool is used to scrape away tartar. This procedure helps remove pockets of bacteria that may lead to bone loss, inflammation, infection, loose teeth, and other problems.

Teeth Whitening

A bright, white smile is a sign of health. It can also give you an extra boost of confidence. There are a variety of whitening methods, and we're happy to help you find the one that will work best for your needs.
